Leadership
Osman Ahmed, Founder
Founder & Principal, Talo Table
Osman Ahmed is the founder of Talo Table, a public-impact and civic strategy firm that helps governments, institutions, and organizations design programs that work effectively for diverse communities.
Osman brings more than 15 years of experience across federal government, nonprofit leadership, and community-based systems, with a career rooted in translating complex public policy into practical, people-centered solutions. He previously served six years in the United States Senate, where he worked as a Field Representative and later as Director of Housing Policy and Community Engagement. In these roles, he managed constituent operations, led statewide listening efforts, and supported policy work spanning housing, domestic policy, and community engagement.
Alongside his government experience, Osman has led and built nonprofit initiatives focused on education access, family engagement, community safety, and economic mobility for immigrant and New American communities. As a nonprofit executive, he has designed and overseen public programs, secured funding for community partners, facilitated cross-sector collaborations, and supported families navigating education, housing, and public systems.
Through this combined experience, Osman founded Talo Table to bridge the gap between institutions and communities — helping clients move beyond compliance-based engagement toward trust-based, culturally responsive, and results-driven strategies. His work emphasizes relationship-building, effective public participation, and sustainable community impact across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
Osman is a marathon runner, father, and husband, speaks four or more languages, and enjoys reading, playing basketball, and hiking.
